
Angela Strand
Chairwoman
Angela is an experienced executive, advisor, director and serial entrepreneur with a 25-year track record of founding and building disruptive, technology-based products and companies across a range of diverse global industries, including e-mobility, infrastructure, technology, software and transportation and logistics. Considered a pioneer in the commercial electric vehicle sector, she helped scale early commercial EV fleet adoption in North America. Most recently, she served as chair of SEA Electric, a Tier 1 electric power train and technology supplier for OEMs, through its successful exit to a public company. Within EV infrastructure, Angela was a co-founder of In-Charge Energy, and a launch advisor for Duke Energy’s eTransEnergy business. She is a named inventor on 7 issued patents and is presently the managing director of Strand Strategy, a boutique technology advisory firm and serves as an independent director on multiple public and private boards. Angela holds an MBA in marketing and a BA in Communications from the University of Tennessee.
Andre Burba
Andre is part of the Infrastructure Americas business unit, based in Denver. He has 24 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he was a Managing Director at Global Infrastructure Partners where he focused on structured equity and credit investments in various infrastructure sectors. Prior to GIP, he was a Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at Pine Brook, a private equity firm based in New York focused on growth equity investments in energy and financial services. Before Pine Brook, he was at Credit Suisse in the Special Opportunities group focusing on principal investments in renewable energy, infrastructure and mining. He started his career as a project finance legal counsel at Milbank Tweed in New York. He holds a juris doctor (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University Law School, Tennessee, USA where he was a John S. Beasley Scholar, and bachelor's degrees in music and mathematics from West Virginia University, USA.
Chelle Izzi

Chelle Izzi is a pioneer in the emerging eMobility industry, having founded and launched three major ventures: Walmart’s public EV charging network, the zero-emission fleet network Greenlane, and NextEra Mobility. At Walmart, she led the strategy and early-stage development to transition the company to an owner-operator model, driving its commitment to thousands of branded charging stations by 2030. Previously, Chelle spearheaded NextEra Energy’s entry into mobility, acquiring eIQ Mobility and forming its charging-as-a-service business. As Head of Mobility, she helped design and negotiate the Greenlane joint venture with BlackRock and Daimler. With over 25 years of experience, Chelle has a proven track record of scaling new businesses in energy, mobility, and clean tech. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
Bruce Pflaum
Bruce is the founder and CEO of Gateway Fleets and is a proven clean energy and real estate finance pioneer. Prior to founding Gateway, Bruce was a co-founder of EverStream Energy Capital Management. He helped grow EverStream from start-up to $450 million of capital with a team of 20+ staff managing renewable power project development projects in 9 countries across four continents (North America, Europe & Asia). In addition to project development investments from its fund, under Bruce’s sponsorship EverStream developed a rollup strategy for seasoned operating assets, securing the asset-to-enterprise value capture. Eventually culminating in a $3+ billion yieldco IPO, the platform was later acquired by Brookfield for $1.4 billion. Earlier in his career Bruce was a real estate and real assets investor on behalf of institutions and family investment offices. While at Stamos Capital, Bruce was responsible for a portfolio of 60 real estate funds, $1.4 billion in commitments and supported $1 billion PE secondary sale & portfolio monitoring migration. Prior to Stamos, Bruce analyzed/ Underwrote $1 billion CMBS acquisitions (5 million sq.ft.) for LNR Property as well as other real estate ventures. Bruce began his career at the Lodestar buyout group in NYC and holds a BA from Amherst College.
Wyatt Wachtel
When Wyatt is not moonlighting as a gentleman farmer, he brings 25+ years of experience in the financial services as an investor, operator and board member. His experience spans the globe having invested in companies across numerous industries with a primary focus on real and financial assets, including in the power and energy industries. Prior to Gateway, Wyatt was a Principal at MHR, a $6b middle market focused private equity firm focused on distressed and special situations. From 2006-2019, Wyatt was a Managing Director of York Capital Management, a leading multi strategy hedge fund, where he led a broad array of special situation and distressed investments ranging from the acquisition and turnaround of Australia’s largest independent power producer to backing one of Japan’s leading solar developers. Wyatt also ran a $4b+ structured credit portfolio on behalf of York which included securitized products as well as sub-performing and non performing mortgages. Mr. Wachtel has served as interim CEO on various occasions and also sat on numerous boards throughout his career including Westinghouse Electric Company, Redcape Hotel Group, Walter Capital Opportunities Corp, and New Zealand Yellow Pages. Wyatt received a B.A. in Political Science at the University of California, an M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and J.D. from the Emory School of Law.
Andrew Silverman
Andrew leads the sourcing, development, and scaling of the company's real estate and infrastructure program. With experience spanning real estate, construction, operations, finance, and sustainability, Andrew has played a pivotal role in the launch and rapid scaling of new ventures across multiple industries. His expertise lies in developing teams and systems from startup phases to fully mature operations, always with a focus on delivering results that align business objectives, customer interests and investment goals. Before joining Gateway Fleets, Andrew served as Chief Operating Officer for a 70-year-old vertically integrated owner/operator of mixed-use properties in California. In this role he oversaw operations, business intelligence, asset management, and business development, contributing significantly to the company's progress. He holds a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University, is a licensed General Contractor, and serves as an advisor to several real estate startups, helping guide innovation in the sector.
Zephrin Lasker
Zephrin is a technology leader with over 25 years experience who has founded and served in executive leadership roles at numerous startups and public companies. Mr. Lasker co-founded Shopchat acquired by Rakuten Viber in 2017 for over 15x capital raised. Zephrin was then Global VP of Ecommerce at Rakuten Viber, following the acquisition. Previously he was the Head of Mobile and Social Product Development for Constant Contact (NASDAQ:CTCT) at the time of its acquisition by Endurance Intl (NYSE: EIGI) for $1.1BN. He also co-founded Pontiflex, an early leader in the performance advertising space acquired by Blackstone and Flatiron Media in 2015. Most recently he served as CMO at Kaleyra Inc (NYSE: KLR) a global enterprise messaging platform acquired by Tata Communications for over $325MM in 2023. His companies have won Crain’s Business Best Places to Work award multiple times and he is a graduate of the TechStars Accelerator program and 500 Startups. He is a US patent holder and an experienced columnist and speaker on technology and leadership issues at various publications and conferences globally. Zephrin began his career working in corporate finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in New York and holds a BA from Reed College.
Jamie Miller
Jamie drives growth and strategic initiatives in the Electrification-as-a-Service (EaaS) sector, focusing on electric truck leasing and charging solutions for fleet operators. With a strong operations background, she managed a $1 billion portfolio in Amazon’s Last Mile Logistics division, supporting 200+ independent delivery partners and launching new 3PL businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. She previously scaled revenue operations at Knotel from 10 customers to 550+, supporting $350M in annual revenue, and held leadership roles at Microsoft, Mocean Mobile, and other tech startups, driving operational growth and optimizing processes. Jamie also serves on the board of the CSNK2A1 Foundation, invests in female-led ventures, and has launched successful community projects, including a private school bus service. She holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan, and has completed executive education at NYU Stern and Kellogg School of Management.
David Mitchell
David is a serial entrepreneur as Co-founder and President of General Blood LLC from 2010-2016, a human blood procurement/logistics company that served health systems and research firms nationwide. From 2015-2018, he was Co-founder of Scrubb LLC a procurement/logistics company for E-waste recycling companies nationwide (acquired by Tech Dump in 2018.) From 2016-2020, he was Co-founder and President of Sage Underwriters (Vertus Wildfire), a Lloyd’s Coverholder MGA (managing general agent), who focused on underwriting homes in wildfire-exposed areas in California (acquired by Willis Towers Watson in 2020.) David is also the founder and principal of Alpenglow LLC, an investor, advisor, and board member for early-stage healthcare technology, insurance entities and non-profits. David also currently serves on the board member of Aspen Public Radio, with previous experience in banking and investment advisory prior to 2010.
Ned Mitchell
Ned is an executive and system designer with experience across operations, strategy, and finance. He has 15+ years of transformative experience in seed, startup, and growth stage companies. At Gateway, Ned designed the site development process from route scheduling to power delivery to Capex optimization. He believes that a first- principles approach to EV Infrastructure allows for thought leadership and that high accountability leads to rapid innovation. Ned thinks that saving money through green technology can change the world. He holds a BA from Yale and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
